The digital signal output has a capacitor (C2) connected in an integrator circuit, with current sources (SC1a, SC2a) to linearly charge the capacitor with constant currents (I1,I2), and discharge circuits (SC1b, SC2b) to discharge the capacitor at the same constant currents. A switch (20) controls connection of the capacitor to the charge and discharge circuits. An digital output mechanism uses the voltage on the capacitor to drive the output. Independent claims are included for a digital binary circuit.
