PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of a flat speaker. SOLUTION: The flat plate speaker where a drive section 7 provided with a coil 6 and a magnet 5 is driven on the basis of a supplied signal to vibrate a diaphragm 2, is provided with the diaphragm 2 on which one or a plurality of magnets 5 or coils 6 are placed, a frame 3 that supports the diaphragm 2 via an edge part 4, and the coils 6 or the magnets 5 placed at positions of the frame 2 opposite to the positions of the magnets 5 or the coils 6 on the diaphragm 2.
