<p>A first telephone handset cover (100) includes an accoustically transparent, collapsible tube (130) into which a telephone handset can be inserted to shield the user of the handset from the potentially unsanitary handset. The cover (100) includes top (110) and bottom (120) members which releasably lock together so that the cover is compact and convenient to carry when not in use. A second telephone handset cover (200) includes first (210) and second (220) members which are accoustically transparent and are held over the mouthpiece and earpiece of a telephone handset by straps (240). Both telephone handset covers include disinfectant reservoirs which release disinfectant onto a telephone handset when the covers are used. Other embodiments include fixed telephone handset sanitizers, disinfecters, and sterilizers.</p> |
