An iontophoresis device and current application method capable of efficiently and continuously administer a prostaglandin to a skin or mucous membrane. The iontophoresis device comprises a first electrode structural body (31), a second electrode structural body (32), and a power supply (33) electrically connected to both electrode structural bodies (31, 32). At least one of the electrode structural bodies (31, 32) contains a prostaglandin and has stabilizing means for suppressing hydrolysis of the prostaglandin while being stored. The power supply (33) has constant-current supply means and, when both electrode structural bodies contain a prostaglandin, polarity inverting means. The prostaglandin is administered to a skin or mucous membrane by means of the output current.
