The generator has a stator (ST), a rotor (BS) and a control unit, whereby a brake disc forms the rotor and at least one stator is mounted close to the brake disc. The brake disc and/or stator are toothed and the stator contains a permanent magnet. Several stators can be arranged around the periphery of the brake disc in modular fashion.
