Decorative coloration treatment for various types of porous natural stone comprises applying a pigment solution containing a dye and a solvent to the surface at room temperature, so that it penetrates the pores, and then applying a sealant that covers that pigment in the pores. Independent claims are also included for: (a) decorative colorant for coloring natural stone; (b) the application of the colorant.
