<p>A machine (10) for driving posts, drills, large spikes, and the like work pieces into the ground, pavements, or wall structures. The machine (10) includes an elongated tower (14), a carriage, a hammer (18), a combination of an elongated two-way cylinder (126) and a pulley system (128), at least one control valve box, a plurality of hydraulic pressurized lines, a plurality of hydraulic conduits, and a plurality of fasteners. The tower (14) has two parallel rails (24) for the hammer (18) to slide upward, and then downward so as to exert a force upon a work piece toward a work surface. The machine (10) may further include a hammer guide (244), constraining springs (125) and an interchangeable plate (266).</p> |
