PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the frame opening and cake removing work in a pressure filtering, dehydrating and separating machine. SOLUTION: After the pressure filtering work is completed, the load of a hydraulic jack 15 is released and a filter belt 8 is taken up by rolls 10, 11 in such a state that a filter chamber 21 is filled with a cake and, at the same time, a filter frame 17 is moved to separate the filter chamber 21 into a filter plate portion, a filter portion and a filter frame portion. The filter frame 17 filled with the cake is stopped just under a breaker 19 and the cake is destructed and removed by the falling of the breaker 19. After the cake is removed, the breaker 19, the filter frame 17, the filter belt 8 and the hydraulic jack 15 are operated in the reverse direction and the filter chamber 21 is again constituted and the circulating operation of filteration and dehydration, frame opening, the movement and separation of the filter chamber, the removal of the cake and the assembling of the filter chamber is performed.
