PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To demonstrate the excellent wire feedability without running out of the lubricant even under a severe service environment in which the feeding resistance is increased by the bend of a liner, etc., by setting the load length ratio and the arithmetic mean roughness of the surface roughness of a wire in its longitudinal direction of the roughness of the wire surface comprising a recessed part generated by a crack in a steel base and a plated flat part to be in a specified range, and adhering the feeding lubricant to the wire surface. SOLUTION: A wire surface comprises a recessed part generated by a crack in a steel base and a plated flat part, and the roughness of the wire surface is preferably 45-95% in the load length ratio tp and 0.07-0.23μm in arithmetic mean roughness Ra in the surface roughness in the wire longitudinal direction, and the fed lubricant is applied to the wire surface. A recessed part effective for a feed lubricant sump can be formed, and the fed lubricant can be stably adhered and maintained by thus setting the load length ratio up of the surface roughness in the wire longitudinal direction which is an index to indicate the roughness shape of the wire surface, and the arithmetic mean roughness Ra which is an index to indicate the roughness depth. |
