SOFTENING FINISHING AGENT COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a softening finishing agent composition capable of imparting sufficient softness to various kinds of fibers, good in preservation stability and excellent in biodegradability. SOLUTION: This softening finishing agent composition comprises (a) a glycerol ester of an 8-22C fatty acid and (b) an amine represented by the general formula I or II (R denotes a mixed hydrocarbon group of a >=17C hydrocarbon group with a <17C hydrocarbon group in (70/30) to (40/60) weight ratio of the >=17C hydrocarbon group to the <17C hydrocarbon group) or its salt in (1/3) to (3/1) weight ratio of the component (a) to the component (b). The total content of the components (a) and (b) is 3-40 wt.%.
