PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and efficient vacuum toilet system for a rolling stock and other vehicle units. SOLUTION: This vacuum toilet system is provided with at least one toilet 1 which is arranged in a warm rest room 3 and connected to a sewer pipe 5 through a discharge valve 4 and a recovery vessel 6 capable of being set to be below negative pressure to empty a prescribed toilet. The recovery vessel 6 has a long, narrow and approximately vertically disposed shape to have reliable function and be compact, and is arranged in the vicinity of the rest room 3 so as to be affected by a heating of the rest room 3.
