PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a small and lightweight ink jet head in which fine ink particles are ejected at high speed by arranging a plurality of ink ejection nozzles, discrete ink channels and an ink ejection drive source on one substrate and forming the driver for the ink ejection drive source of a thin film transistor. SOLUTION: A plurality of ink ejection nozzles 2, discrete ink channels 3 to be connected with respective ink ejection nozzles 2, and an ink ejection drive source 4 are arranged on one substrate 1 and a thin film transistor circuit 5 is formed on the substrate 1 by lamination process. In other words, the thin film transistor circuit 5 serving as a driver is formed not as a discrete part but formed integrally with the substrate 1 thus achieving high nozzle density at low cost. Since the thin film transistor circuit 5 is employed as the driver, the substrate 1 is not required to employ a single crystal silicon substrate and manufacturing efficiency is enhanced without limiting the head size by using a square substrate 1 of glass, or the like.
