PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a good image of superior water resistance and light fastness among other things and also of superior glossiness, coloring properties and drying properties by a special recording medium with an ink acceptive layer or a coated layer. SOLUTION: A good image of superior glossiness, coloring properties and drying properties is formed by using an ink composition containing at least a cationic water-soluble polymer containing a repeating unit represented by a formula and a recording medium containing a monovalent metal salt in the vicinity of the surface of the ink composition. In the formula, R1 and R2 can be same or different and represent a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl, and the hydrogen atom is not represented simultaneously by both, and (n) represents 0, 1 or 2. |
