A grill panel is produced, made up of metal sections (2) of rectangular section and metal wires (3) extending transversely to these sections. The wires are electric spot welded to the sections by placing a first electrode (8) on the wires and a second electrode (9) on the face (7) of the sections opposite the wires and by applying an electric voltage between these two electrodes. One electrode forms on the face (7) of the sections (2) destined to come into contact with the wires (3) at least one projecting flange (5) and in that, during the electric welding, one applies a pressure between the two electrodes (8, 9) so that, under the effect of the heat generated during welding, the projecting flanges on the sections penetrate partially into the metal of the wires.
