PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject herbicidal composition manifesting excellent herbicidal activities to Poa annua var. reptans having strong chemical resistance, hardly causing chemical injury of various kinds of lawns, and useful as a herbicide used for a golf course or the like by including a specific microorganisms and a diphenyl ether derivative as active ingredients. SOLUTION: This herbicidal composition contains (A) microorganisms having an ability for controlling Poa annua, and belonging to the genus Xanthomonas [preferably, Xanthomonas campestris P-482 (FERM BP-4431) or Xanthomonas campestris P-484 (FERM BP-4430)], and (B) a diphenyl ether derivative, preferably bifenox. When the composition is formed into a liquid preparation, the content of each component in the preparation is preferably 106-1010 CFU/ml of the component A and 0.01-0.5 wt.% of the component B (when the bifenox is used). |
