PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify structure of a switch for lightening its weight, and to detect an overload at the time of inconvertibility by an obstacle or the like for performing an automatic stop. SOLUTION: This switch comprises a servomotor 32, a ball screw 34 connected to the servomotor 32, a carrier unit 36 screwed to the ball screw 34, a guiding means adapted to displace horizontally the carrier unit 36, a movable rod 38 having an oblong actuation hole a guide plate 42 having a crank-shaped guide hole, a driving shaft 41 fixed in the guide hole of the guide plate 42 and in the actuation hole of the movable rod 38 for driving the movable rod 38, a driving link 40 having the carrier unit 36 and the driving shaft 41 connected, a lock rod 47 having two lock grooves, two lock pieces 48a and 48b fixably mounted in the lock grooves of the lock rod 47, and a lock block 46 mounted on the carrier unit 36 adapted to have the lock pieces 48a and 48b fitted into the lock grooves.
