PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch-release mechanism which is operated from the side of a box, advantageous in the points of cost, space and weight, in a latch mechanism provided in the box with a cover arranged on its upper section, engaging releasably the cover with a box main body. SOLUTION: A latch mechanism is provided with a shaft 72 extended between an operation lever 7a and a pair of latch sections and transmitting the engagement release operation of the operation lever 71 to each of a pair of latch sections. The shaft 72 is rotated correspondingly to the operation of the operation lever 71, and after the engagement in the latch section on the side separated from the operation lever 71 is releases first, the engagement on a latch section on the side close to the operation lever 71 is released. |
