PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pleat net fabric having excellent shape retaining properties and durability at pleat parts, causing neither displacement nor fray of meshes by sufficient mesh fixation, having lightweight and stain resistance by subjecting a foldable screen door, a blind, a curtain screen, or the like, to pleat processing to be stretched into nets for insect control and ventilation. SOLUTION: In a conjugate yarn comprising a core layer composed of a high-melting component and a sheath layer of a low-melting component, a knitted fabric and a woven fabric are obtained by using a first conjugate yarn consisting essentially of a high-density polyethylene as the sheath layer and a second conjugate yarn consisting essentially of a polypropylene as the core layer in one of warp and weft, respectively. The meshes are fixed by heat fusion of the sheath layer at the crossing parts of the warp and weft and a great number of pleats are formed in the folding direction of the first conjugate yarn to give the objective pleat net fabric.
