PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for manufacturing an anamorphic lens by which simple and good imaging performance can be obtd. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing an anamorphic lens wherein an anamorphic lens at least one face of which is a rotational asymmetric shape to the optical axis is molded by using a mold, molding is performed by injecting an injection material from a gate provided on extension of the meridional line or its neighborhood of the lens face of the anamorphic lens.
