PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax a colliding force generated when rock collides with a front window through a front surface guard at the time of drilling rock or the like, and to enhance a front window protective function by the front surface guard. SOLUTION: A front surface guard 22 is detachably attached to a front surface 8B of a cab box 8 constituting a cab 21. The front surface guard 22 is made up of an almost rectangular support frame 23, a plurality of front guard rods 24 arranged on the front surface of the support frame 23, and a plurality of rear guard rods 25 arranged on the rear surface of the support frame 23. The rear guard rods 25 are alternately arranged with respect to the front guard rods 24 in rightward and leftward directions. Thus, when a small piece of rock flies toward the front surface guard 22 in an orthogonal direction or the like, at the time of drilling rock, the rock collides with both the front guard rod 24 and the rear guard rod 25, to thereby reduce energy of movement of the rock.
