PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening a substance which suppresses or promotes apoptosis by incubating VDAC-liposome, a VDAC-passing indicator, and a subject substance, followed by detecting a change in the concentration of the indicator. SOLUTION: A method is provided for screening a substance which suppresses or promotes apoptosis by determining the presence or absence of the action of suppressing or promoting the apoptosis of a subject substance by incubating VDAC-liposome obtained by reconstituting VDAC in a small unilamellar vesicle, phosphor-labelled cytochrome c, and/or an indicator which can pass VDAC such as isotope-labelled sucrose, and a subject substance such as protein and polypeptide, followed by detecting a change in the concentration of the indicator inside and outside VDAC-liposome before and after incubation. |
