PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bleeding during polypectomy by arranging a conductive needle, faced forward between a pair of grasping pieces, and passing high frequency currents therethrough. SOLUTION: A conductive needle 32 formed of a stainless steel material or the like is arranged, faced forward, between a pair of forceps cups 31. This conductive needle 32 is fixed nonrotationally to a hole provided at the forward end body of a sheath 1 by caulking arm 32a formed by bending laterally. A high frequency current through an operating wire 2 is supplied to the conductive needle 32 while fixed to the tip body of the sheath 1. A high frequency current is supplied also to a pair of forceps, cups 31 from the operating wire 2. The external face of the sheath 1 is covered with an insulating tube 1b and does not conduct a high frequency current. Thus, during polypectomy by the forceps cups 31, electricity is passed by puncturing the vicinity of a blood vessel with the conductive needle 32 and hemorrhage can be stopped by clotting proteins. |
