PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resol-type phenolic resin foam having weakened corrosive properties on metal, whereas the foam is foamed and cured with a foaming agent and an acid curing agent. SOLUTION: This resol-type phenolic resin foam is formed by adding zinc powder and one or more kinds of weak acid salts as neutralizing agents for an acid curing agent. The weak acid salt comprises one or more kinds of metal powders selected from powders of calcium, strontium and lead, and one or more kinds of weak acids selected from acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid, formic acid, lactic acid, anisic acid and acrylic acid.
