PURPOSE: A deproteinized natural rubber, its preparation method, a method for elevating or lowering the green strength of a natural rubber, a composition for deproteinizing a natural rubber and a natural rubber product containing the deproteinized natural rubber are provided, to prevent the allergy induced by a natural rubber. CONSTITUTION: The deproteinized natural rubber contains 0.02 % or less of nitrogen, shows no absorption at a wavelength of 3,280 cm¬-1, and is free from proteins. The method comprises the steps of treating latex with a protease, an anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant; and separating rubber particles. Preferably the protease is an alkaline protease; the anionic surfactant is selected from the group consisting of a carboxylic acid surfactant, a sulfonic acid surfactant, a sulfate surfactant and a phosphate surfactant; and the nonionic surfactant is selected from the group consisting of a polyoxyalkylene ether surfactant, a polyoxyalkylene ester surfactant, a sugar fatty acid ester surfactant and an alkyl polyglycoside surfactant.
