POSITIVE ELECTRODE STRUCTURE FOR ALKALINE SECONDARY CELL

PURPOSE: An improved positive electrode structure is provided to enable minimization of the outer diameter of the large diameter part when coiled together with a negative electrode panel and separator. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode panel(2) is provided by charging paste solution as activated material into a porous metal panel. A negative electrode panel(3) is composed of hydrogen occlusion alloy, and absorbs gas created from the positive electrode panel(2). A separator(4) is positioned between the positive electrode panel(2) and the negative electrode panel(3) and performs for isolation and moist of these panels(2,3). A steel tube(1) receives the positive and negative electrode panels(2,3) and the separator(4) so that the separator(4) is positioned between the positive and negative electrode panels(2,3) in the coiled states. The positive electrode panel(2) have inclined surface(8a,8b) with an inclination angle of theta at transverse both ends.
