PURPOSE: A speaker mounting apparatus for an image display system is provided to be capable of preventing screen quiver phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: A speaker mounting apparatus for an image display system comprises a cabinet(20) which is joined at a front plane of a back cover(10). A gap(A) exists between a joined portion between the cabinet(20) and the back cover(10), and a plurality of holes is formed at a join part(12) of the back cover(10). A fixed protrusion is joined at one side of a speaker and has a concave portion. Join bosses are formed inside the cabinet(20) so as to be symmetrized right and left on the basis of a front plate of a brown tube. A quiver attenuating part(100) is joined at the bosses through screws(140). The speaker is joined at side plane of the quiver attenuating part(100) so as to be penetrated through the back cover(10). The quiver attenuating part(100) consists of a support member(110) and a quiver preventing member(130) joined at upper and lower parts of the support member(110).
