PURPOSE: A method for identifying a terminating call response and a receiving voice in data communication is provided to selectively respond to a terminating call according to a speech state, and to automatically identify the receiving voice stored by the terminating call in a communication completing process. Therefore, standby time is reduced, and the efficiency of a communication line is improved. CONSTITUTION: A system for identifying a terminating call response and a receiving voice in data communication detects a terminating signal in calls inputted while performing communication using an exchange line. The system generates and outputs an on-screen signal notifying a standby call. The system responds to the terminating signal in the calls according to a communication state. The system simultaneously performs a voice speech of the responded terminating signal and a retrieval of data stored by the communication.
