PURPOSE: A disk for an HDD(Hard Disk Drive) and a fixing method for the disk are provided to prevent curvature and distortion through absorbing a coupling stress applied to a coupling portion of a disk fixed to a hub of a spindle motor. CONSTITUTION: To fix a disk(10), a hub of a spindle motor(12) fixed on a base is inserted to the disk. Herein, the disk is located on a support unit(12a) of the spindle motor. A spacer(13) is inserted to the hub of the spindle motor while inserting the other disk on the spacer. After locating a clamp(14) on the hub of the spindle motor, a screw is coupled to a diagonal direction. Herein, a compressing portion of a screw combining portion of the clamp pushes the disk. A grooves(11) of the disk counterbalance dispersion of stress on the disk for minimizing distribution of stress. Moreover, a data store area of the disk is not affected by a fine fluctuation of a groove portion in case of generation of the curvature and distortion caused by a coupling torque.
