PURPOSE: A flat oscillating motor is provided to maintain a stable drive having both characteristics of two-phase half-wave driving and four-phase driving. CONSTITUTION: A flat oscillating motor includes a magnet, a coil means, a commutator, and a pair of brush. The magnet having 2n poles or more, is a ring type and is connected to the commutator. The coil means is connected to a rotator supported eccentrically to be movable, and connects four winding coil(10) by a pair serially in order to have a neutral point(N) as a common contact point. The commutator is composed of a plurality of segments installed in the rotator. A pair of brush is connected to the commutator in determined electrical angle. An angle of arrangement of an input and an output terminals of the brush is formed in a range of pi/2 to 3pi/2 in electrical angle.
