PURPOSE: A multiblade blower is provided to reduce a loss of ventilating amount by a counterflow and magnify a shaft-directional available space of a ventilating room. CONSTITUTION: In a multiblade fan(30) including a scroll case(40) having an inducing hole(41) and a plurality of blades(32) installed in the scroll case and radially arranged for being arranged in a cylindrical direction, a multiblade blower satisfies equations that ΦW2 smaller than ΦC smaller than or equal to ΦW1, HW2 smaller than or equal to HC smaller than HW1, wherein ΦW1 denotes outer diameter of the multiblade fan, ΦW2 denotes outer diameter of an upper end part of a supporting ring(33) positioned at the multiblade fan, HW2 denotes a height from a ceiling surface of the scroll case to an upper end surface of the multiblade fan, HW1 denotes a height from a ceiling surface of the scroll case to a lower end outer diameter part of the multiblade fan, ΦC denotes an inner diameter of a counterflow cutoff wall(43), and HC denotes a height of the counterflow cutoff wall.
