PURPOSE: An optical communication module is provided to allow mounts for supporting optical fibers and a support for supporting a light source to be fixed at a constant location by improving the structure of a substrate. CONSTITUTION: An optical communication module includes a support(40) fixed on a substrate(90), mounts(50,60), a laser diode(10) supported to the support(40), and an optical fiber(20) supported on the mounts(50,60). A mount(50) has a V shape groove(51). The optical communication module further includes a plurality of location determination grooves(91,92,93) indented on an upper surface of the substrate(90) by a given depth. The location determination grooves(91,92,93) define the locations where the support(40) and the mounts(50,60) will be fixed. The first location determination groove(91) contains the bottom of the support(40), the second location determination groove(92) contains the bottom of the mount(50) and the third location determination grooves(93) contains the bottom of the mount(60).
