PURPOSE: A suppressing device for vibration of a magnetic head slider is provided for the magnetic head slider to perform a stable recording operation through absorbing vibration. CONSTITUTION: A repressing device of vibration includes a magnetic head slider(3), a load beam(2) connected to the slider through an elastic bending unit(4), and an installation plate(1) for attaching the load beam to an actuator. A suspension apparatus of the slider includes a damper(20) attached to an upper surface of the load beam for damping vibration. The head slider connected to the load beam records information on an optical magnetic disk. The load beam controls the actuator for the head slider to travel on a recording surface of the disk. The damper on the load beam suppresses vibration of the load beam caused by movement of the head slider or disturbance. Therefore, the head slider is stably traveled.
