PURPOSE: A luminous tile is provided which accumulates irradiate light and radiates at night without light for a long time and prevents safety accident without turning on a light. And a method for preparing the same is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The luminous tile has a luminous layer on a tile by coating the surface of the tile with a mixture solution of luminous glaze consisting of 20-60 wt.% of SrAl2O3 and 40-80 wt.% of frit and water. The method comprises steps of: (i) mixing luminous glaze consisting of 20-60 wt.% of SrAl2O3 as a light-accumulating material and 40-80 wt.% of frit as a melting agent; (ii) coating the surface of tile with the mixture solution of the step (i) in a thickness of 0.3-1.5 millimeter; (iii) drying the tile of the step (ii) at room temperature; and (iv) calcining the dried tile at a temperature of 600-800 deg.C.
