OSCILLATE SENSING APPARATUS FOR A WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A vibration detector of a washing machine is provided to prevent damage of peripheral components and the device by exactly detecting vertical vibration. CONSTITUTION: A vibration detector contains a main body to form the entire appearance; a water tank to accept a washing and dehydrating tub with an agitator(4); a driver and a shaft device installed under the water tank; a suspension bar(7) to suspend the water tank inside the main body; a supporting plate(8) penetrated the suspension bar; and a detector(9) to detect vertical vibration from the water tank. The detector(9) contains a bracket(91) folded toward a frame(10); a switch(92) installed in the folded part of the bracket(91); and a magnet(90) separated from the switch(92). Most of a shaking of the water tank is absorbed by a damper under the suspension bar(7). In excessively shaking the water tank, the suspension bar(9) is moved upward. The magnet(90) is closed to the switch(92) by moving with the suspension bar(7). The switch(92) is operated and a signal is transmitted to a microcomputer. The microcomputer stops a washing machine for a predetermined time. Thereby, damage of peripheral components is prevented.
