The method involves providing at least one two-dimensional window on the two-dimensional screen. In response to a user input, the two-dimensional window is displayed in three-dimensions within the two-dimensional screen. An indicator may be superimposed on a currently visible two-dimensional window, the indicator having a pointer device for moving the indicator in response to a manipulation by the user, to display the visible window as a three-dimensional window. Independent claims are included for a computer display system and a production article including a computer program product.
