METHOD FOR ISOLATING OLEFINS FROM POLYOLEFIN PLANTS

The invention relates to a method for isolating olefins from a gas mixture containing one or more olefins, inert gas and catalyst poison. According to said method, the gas mixture is conveyed to a separating unit (18) and separated into olefins and inert gas. The inventive method is characterised in that an installation (17) is connected downstream or upstream of the separating unit (18) and in that i) if said installation (17) is connected upstream, the catalyst poison is at least partially removed from the gas mixture and ii) if the installation (17) is connected downstream, the catalyst poison is at least partially removed from the separated olefin. The olefins are preferably isolated from a gas mixture that is produced as a waste gas in a catalytic gas phase polymerisation process for producing polyolefins. The recovery of the olefins from this waste gas has economic advantages.
