<p>A loading and unloading apparatus for transporting reels to and from a point-of-use, comprises a turntable (31) rotatable in the horizontal plane and located remote from the point-of-use, and first means (40, 41) extending between the turntable (31) and point-of-use and arranged to support and transfer reels (20, 21, 22) to and from the point-of-use from and to the turntable (31) and further comprising at least a pair of second support and transfer means (42, 43) located on the turntable (31), wherein each of said second support and transfer means (42, 43) is arranged to transport a reel (22) along at least a portion of the length thereof.</p> |
