<p>A polymerization catalyst for a (co)polymer of an olefin, which comprises a transition metal compound of the following formula (1) or (2) as a component. Further, a method for producing an olefin (co)polymer, which employs a polymerization catalyst comprising this transition metal compound and a cocatalyst. In the following formulae, BInd1, BInd2 and BInd are (un)substituted benzoindenyl groups, Cp is an (un)substituted cyclopentadienyl group, an (un)substituted indenyl group or an (un)substituted fluorenyl group, Y is a carbon atom having substituents, X is hydrogen, halogen, etc., and M is Zr, Hf or Ti. <CHEM></p> |
