PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily release a cover canvas covering a back surface of a lapped V-belt in a method for manufacturing a V-belt with ridges having the step of vulcanizing to integrally mold a ridge-like protrusion piece on a back surface of the vulcanized lapped V-belt. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a V-belt with ridges comprises the steps of winding an unvulcanized rubber sheet on an outer periphery of a cylindrical molding drum, spirally winding a core wire rope thereon, further winding the unvulcanized rubber sheet 2a on its outer periphery, and eventually laminating a mold releasing tape 4 on its outer periphery to form an unvulcanized belt sleeve. Thereafter, the method further comprises the steps of skiving a predetermined V-shaped trapezoidal section, covering its outer periphery with a cover canvas 2d, thereby manufacturing the lapped V-belt 2 vulcanized by using the mold. Then, right and left corners of the back surface of the obtained lapped belt 2 are cut at a predetermined angle, and the canvas 2a of the back surface is released together with the tape 4.
