PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control device capable of suppressing a waste print medium. SOLUTION: This printing control device 10 is comprised of an image drawing processing section 11, a contraction printing managing section 12, a printing range discriminating section 13, a printing range comparing section 14, a margin determining section 15, a printing control section 16, a spool file section 17 and a transferring processing section 18. The printing range discriminating section 13 discriminates a printing range by print data from an AP 8. The printing range comparing section 14 compares the printing range with a printing region. When the printing range is greater than the printing region, the contraction printing managing section 12 contracts the printing range to be smaller than the printing region. When the printing range of the print data includes printing regions of first and second print media, the margin determining section 15 obtains the size of the margin of the printing region of the second print medium. When the size of the margin is greater than a predetermined value, the contraction printing managing section 12 contracts the printing range to be smaller than the printing region.
