PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationically polymerizable ultraviolet-curable silicone composition which can be easily adjusted to a high viscosity suitable for its application method while retaining its inherent curability and capability for releasing from a sticky substance by compounding a polyorganosiloxane having epoxy groups with a fine silicon dioxide powder having a specified pH and an onium salt photoinitiator. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane of the formula having at least two epoxy groups, 0.01-50 pts.wt. fine silicon dioxide powder having a pH (of a 4 wt.% aqueous solution) of 5.5-9 and an average particle size of 0.05-100μm, and 1-20 pts.wt. onium salt photoinitiator of the formula: (R1)2I+X-, ArN+2X- or (R1)3S+X-. In the formulas, R is 1-10C alkyl; X is an epoxy-functional group; n is 2 or higher; n/(m+n) is 0.01-0.5; m+n is 30-1,000; R1 is alkyl or aryl; Ar is aryl; and X- is [B(C6H5)4]-, [B(C6F5)4]-, [B(C6H4CF3)4]-, [B(C6F5)2BF2]-, [B(C6H4CF3)4]- or the like.
