PURPOSE: To enable a user to make music box playing of various kinds of musical programs and to easily form and edit his own musical programs with a music box simulator which simulates the operation of a music box of a mechanical type. CONSTITUTION: This music box simulator has a playing means 102 which displays the appearance of the music box implanted with pins for playing comb teeth on a drum on a screen of a display device and plays the music box programs according to time series playing information 101, a pin coordinate acquiring means 103 which acquires by up-dating the pin coordinates of the pins on the drum corresponding to the playing information 101 according to the progression of the music box programs and a pin display means which controls the images implanted with the pins to display these images at the pin coordinates on the drum acquired by the pin coordinate acquiring means 103. The rotating ways of the drum are simulated by moving the pin implanting positions on the drum in the rotating direction of the drum in correspondence to the progression of the music box programs. |
