PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a woven fabric of good quality excellent in weaving properties even without a size and having uniform stretching functions without any defects in exposure of elastic fibers to the surface. SOLUTION: This woven fabric is obtained by using a yarn prepared by doubling and twisting elastic fibers and nonelastic fibers at 500-30,000 twist multiplier without a size as a warp yarn. The, nonelastic fibers constituting the doubled and twisted yarn are multifilament fibers and the single yarn denier (A) satisfies the following formula. (A)<=(B/C), (B): total denier of the multifilament fibers and (C): the denier after drafting of the elastic fibers.
