<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic honeycomb structure body wherein a sufficient heat accumulating capacity is provided, adsorption of VOC, or the like, and floating by a gas pressure are difficult to be generated and difficult to be impaired, and GSA can be increased, a regenerative combustion apparatus using the same, and a method for manufacture of the ceramic honeycomb structure body are provided. SOLUTION: As for a ceramic honeycomb structure, its numerical ratio is >=50% and <=85%, its porosity is >=0.1% and <=10% and the ratio of the volume of pores having >=1μm diameter per total pore volume is at least 20%.
