摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and certainly sort the glass part of the cathode ray tube of a waste television or waste personal computer display into pure glass and lead glass. SOLUTION: In a non-magnetic material sorting apparatus, cullet wherein pure glass and lead glass are mixed is supplied from a feeder 4 and supplied to a magnetic fluid tank 3 to which a magnetic field is applied by a magnetic field generator by a conveyor 5 for feeding the cullet. The magnetic fluid 2 of the magnetic fluid tank 3 has apparent specific gravity almost equal to or higher than the specific gravity of pure glass and almost equal to or lower than that of lead glass and pure glass floats to the surface of the magnetic fluid 2 while lead glass is sedimented into the magnetic fluid. The pure glass floating to the surface of the magnetic fluid 2 is fed to a floated matter recovery container 8 by a floated matter feeding conveyor 6 to be sorted and recovered. The lead glass sedimented in the magnetic field is fed to a sediment recovery container 9 by a sediment feeding conveyor 7 to be sorted and recovered.
