<p>PURPOSE:To provide a display device provided with a two-terminal element superior I-V characteristic and easy to manufacture. CONSTITUTION:The two-terminal element is formed by holding a semiconductor layer 4 and insulating film 3 between a first electrode 2b and a second electrode 6 in a direction perpendicular to a substrate 1. Since the semiconductor layer 4 is provided. superior symmetric property with steep I-V characteristic can be obtained. In addition to that, the plane area of the semiconductor layer 4 is formed in an area smaller than that of the first electrode 2b and that of the second electrode 6, and both electrodes 2b, 6 function as a light shielding layer for the semiconductor layer 4. Therefore, the I-V characteristic can be improved more than the case when light irradiates, and also, since it is not required to form the electrode and the light shielding layer separately. which makes the element easy to be manufactured.</p> |
