PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump which is superior in heat resistance and also resistant against salt damage, at a low cost and light in weight, and free of fuel leakage. SOLUTION: A bottom body 12 is made of a thermosetting resin such as bakelite having a heat resistance and strength, while a top body 14 and a cover 16 are made of a thermoplastic resin, and in the condition that a sealing member 18 such as gasket is pinched between the top body 14 and the cover 16, they 14 and 16 are welded together, and the obtained welded item is fixed to the bottom body 12 by a fixing means. Thereby the chief body part of the fuel pump can be constituted of a resin material.
