A level transducer is provided having an open ended tube with a pressure transducer at one end thereof arranged to generate an output signal as a function of the pressure exerted through the tube thereon. In use, the lower end of the tube is immersed in a liquid to entrap a column of air therein which causes pressure to be exerted on the pressure transducer, the pressure being proportional to the level of the fluid. |
