PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved system and method which send the messages to a group of EPLs(electronic price display devices) by deciding the inherent EPL identifiers from a prescribed table to the group of EPLs and transmitting the messages addressed to the inherent EPL identifiers having the same information. SOLUTION: The inherent group identifiers are decided to a group, the inherent EPL identifiers are decided to a group of EPLs from a table where the inherent group identifiers are linked to the inherent EPL identifiers and the messages addressed to the inherent EPL identifiers having the same information are transmitted. In a transaction system 10, for example, an EPL storage medium 26 of an EPL system 16 stores an EPL data file 32 and an EPL group definition file 38. The file 38 contains not only a table where the EPL identifiers are linked to the group identification numbers but a group list and the group identification numbers. |
