PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good original plate of a planographic printing plate having a hydrophilic layer on a new substrate not using metal aluminum and to manufacture a printing plate using the original plate. SOLUTION: A petaloid alumina layer and a hydrophilic silicone layer are disposed on a glass, ceramic or metallic substrate and the top of the silicone layer is coated with a negative type or positive type photosensitive layer to obtain the objective original plate of a planographic printing plate. An image is formed in the original plate by irradiating the original plate with active light or high density energy light. Optionally after heating, the original plate is developed with an alkaline developer, washed, gummed and dried to manufacture the objective printing plate. |
